The Roar of the Lord

Psalms 130:1 “Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. 2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. 3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.”

Joel 3:16 “The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. 17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.  18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. 19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. 20 But Judah shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. 21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.”

Jesus said it and I am just repeating it.   Jesus said, “I will build MY CHURCH and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” As much as the enemy despises the Church of the Living God, Jesus has invested the future of eternity in her presence in this world. We are to occupy till He returns. The prophecies that we anchor our hope in is the picture that Jesus painted as well as the prophets that God’s people would not be able to be stopped in the end times.

The end times are upon us and there are two time clocks that I must tell you to give attention to. One is the nation of Israel, as it blossoms and blooms, God is with her and shall fight her battles for her. There is an equal important thing to watch and that is the body of Christ. In Old Testament prophecies when Zion is mentioned it is a direct reference to the age of the Church, the body of Christ, the bride of Christ.

When the scripture says that God shall roar out of Zion and utter his voice from Jerusalem and the heaven and the earth shall shake, it has a parallel reference to today’s Church. There is a calling going out to gather together the people of God, who are hungry for God, who want to stand in unity as a body of believers. As the Church gathers and the unity of the Spirit is demonstrated through love and forgiveness extended to one another, God will roar from Zion. He will open a fountain for the thirsty to drink of His mercy and grace. The Church will become the power station, the hospital, the healing and the balm of Gilead for the believer and then to the world.

There is a gathering of the called to come together and experience the divine presence and power of Christ in His Church. There is a grand swing of the pendulum of purpose. The significance and dire necessity of the believer being connected to the Church will begin to be demonstrated. As in the days of old revival, families will begin to plan their weekly activities centered around the gathering of the saints. Their lives will become dependent upon their active participation in the exchange of strengths that take place when the Church gathers for worship.

Christ’s Church will be vindicated. His presence, power and peace will usher in a new dimension of the supernatural intervention of God in the lives of His Church.

If His Church is of the utmost importance in these last days, then you must be of equal importance to be a part of ushering in the Roar from Zion. We will roar in our worship, we will roar in our prayer, we will roar as His Word goes before us! Make the shift now! Center all that you do around the gathering of the Saints. Plant yourself, be faithful, hope thou in God and watch Him be true to His promise.

This is membership Sunday at Trinity Life Centre. If you have not made a public commitment to be joined to a local Church it is of vital importance in your life. Make a commitment this Sunday to be a part of the Mightiest Army on Earth, God’s Army. If you are reading this and you are not connected to a local Church, I urge you to find a place that you feel connected and join yourself to the work of the Church.

Plan your week around the gathering of the Saints and watch how your life will change! I wouldn’t miss one Sunday if I were you. We are roaring!
