Up Rising!

Isaiah 40:29 “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Today I was thinking on the things of God, meditating on His goodness, faithfulness and future that He has for all of us. I was challenged by a challenge that came from my reflections. The challenge came by this question, “What do you see”? “Not how things are but how things shall be!” Then the challenge was extended to me, “Write what you see! Write what you believe to be!” So in obedience to that challenge I felt in my heart, “I will write what I see”!

I see a move of God that is coming upon a remnant of people who have not yet possessed all that has been promised to them. They have possessed promises by faith, but have not seen the reality of manifestation. Because this remnant has not become bitter over the delay of the answer, but have continued in faith, there is a new day dawning!

I see an uprising, or a “Rising UP!” In this rising up there is a renewing of strength! It can be compared to the Eagle’s renewing and mounting up! Jewish tradition talks of the eagle’s renewing of strength. Every 10th year the Eagle comes to a specific time where it flies straight towards the sun. When the heat of the Sun overcomes the Eagle, it falls into the sea. Because of the heat of the sun, and falling into the sea, it casts its feathers and is renewed again. It’s feathers grow and it returns to the days of its youth, and so every ten years up to one hundred does the eagle follow the same course of action. In the hundredth year it ascends according to its custom and falls into the sea to pass on from this journey.

The remnant who waits on Him will rise up and fly into the face of the Son. When His presence has become like a furnace where the furnace has purified the gold, the remnant who has waited on Him will fall back into the water of His Word and having died to self will rise as a resurrection and find their strength in Him to be renewed.

Weariness will disappear as if some special potion has been taken. Running to do His will be found to be effortless and akin to the runner who has found his second wind. Akin to the boxer who has gone round after round and seemingly can’t go another round, but a second wind comes from somewhere and a new energy fueled by Adrenalin stokes the fighter to rise to new levels as he rises in victory over what seemed to be a losing effort.

In your waiting I see you pointing the attention, affection and focus of your life towards the Son. In your waiting I see the Eagle in you and I, flying into the face of the Son and declaring like Job, “Though He slay me, yet will I serve Him!” “We will see the Lord in the land of the living!”

Let the Son deal with you in the secret places of your heart! Let Him have His way in every area of your life. As you yield to Him in obedience He will shape you and fashion you after the design He has for you. When you can’t take it any longer, I see you coming back to the very source of your faith and strength, the washing and renewing of His Word.

Not everyone will understand what I am writing, but you understand clearly! The day is coming to the Eagleminded remnant when the strength you run in and the endurance that you walk in will be understood that your strength comes from the Lord.

The remnant will say like Joshua and Caleb, “We are well able to go up and possess the country”! You and I are the remnant that will come out of Zion with a shout of victory, a dance of praise and waiving the banner of His love!

I see a good thing! That’s what I see! For every person there is the need to become relevant or to find yourself in this generation. Some use the word “Reinvent” themselves. The eagle reinvented itself every decade! You are like the eagle! There is a reinvented getting ready to take place! It’s a new you! Not tired and beat down, but renewed in Him, revived, strengthened, full of life, a new you, “Reinvented in Him”!

Father, today we wait on you! You seem to keep us in a place where we are dependent on you! We don’t have and yet you said to “Ask”! We haven’t found, and yet you tell us to seek! We have not found the open door, but you encourage us to knock! May we find comfort in our pursuit of you today! Make yourself known to the remnant who waits on you!

In the name of Jesus! Amen!
