A Penny For Your Thoughts

Written by
A Penny For Your Thoughts Psalm 19:14 “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.” Matthew 12:34 “…..out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. What is the thing in your life that gets the most of your attention? What have you fixed your attention on? If I asked you to honestly list the top three things that you are fixated on every day, I think you’d be surprised to find what those things are. The average believer has been seduced on incremental moves by darkness. Negative thoughts creep into our mind in a very subtle way until they become our every day way of thinking. Stop it! In the name of Jesus! Take back the battle over your mind, your imagination, your thoughts, your meditations, and the things you focus on and are fixated on. How do I do that? It’s vital for you today to immerse yourself in the promise of God and not the problem. Stop talking about your mountain and start talking to it to get out of your way. Fill your heart with the thoughts that you are favored of God, miracles are headed your way! You are not about to breakdown, you are about to breakthrough into the next level of God’s power, presence and provision for your life. I wish I could get in your head and shout as loud as I could to drown out…

Good News

Written by
Isaiah 40:9   “O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! 10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.” We are declaring that the prophetic voice of the Church is rising up in these last days to bring good news. We will lift up our voice with great strength and no fear and we will with our praise declare, “Behold our God!” He that has an ear to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the Church, let them hear. THE LORD GOD IS COMING WITH A STRONG HAND, IN POWER AND DEMONSTRATION AND HIS ARM SHALL RULE FOR HIM. God is coming with power to fix things that we cannot fix and to change things that we cannot change. When you have done all you can to stand, stand therefore with the armor of God to protect you and watch His own arm of deliverance work miracles in your life. He’s coming and His reward is with Him. Stay focused! Stay in faith!…

The Roar of the Lord

Written by
The Roar of the Lord Psalms 130:1 “Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. 2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. 3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.” Joel 3:16 “The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. 17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.  18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. 19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. 20 But Judah shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. 21 For I will…

It's Closer Than You Can Imagine

Written by
I saw you today! I just want to put my arm around your shoulder and tell you how amazing you are. If everybody knew the real you they would fall in love with you, because you’re a pure joy to be around. I love it how you do things for people. The way you just keep giving and giving. You sacrifice, go the extra mile and how you constantly work on your attitude to make it “all about everybody else”and not “all about you.” Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10. So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward them that are of the household of the faith.” I saw you today! You picked up the phone and tried to encourage someone and it didn’t seem to go the way you had prayed it would go. What you don’t know is they were so down that they had given up on praying whether someone cared about them and then you called. You were an answer to their prayer. Just hearing your voice and your simplistic attempt at quoting that scripture. You felt like an idiot, but they thought you were the voice of an Angel. You must be one of the great people in history. How do I know that? The great ones never considered themselves very great. They never did any thing great…

Movers and Shakers

Empowered to be Powerfully Successful Why do I believe that it is God’s will for His children to be a success? Because, it’s in His Word and I have founded my belief system on the declaration of God Himself. Joshua was told to hear, obey and do and then he would find the path of success. Joshua 1:7 “Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. 8 “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. 9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” God delights in the prosperity of His servants. Prospering has to do with success! Jesus told His disciples that upon the revelation that God gave Peter, that Jesus would be the foundation of revelation for His Church. That Jesus would be the center of their joy, the delight of their obedience and once firmly established in their character and lifestyle, that Jesus would build His Church and the gates of hell would…

Fight Back

Written by
Life is a lot like a playground and it’s all about fun and games and swings and merry go rounds, monkey bars, baseball fields, soccer fields and winning. My mind has taken a journey today back to the dreams of my third grade existence. It’s all good, I haven’t lost my mind, I’ve just been reminded of some really important stuff that we all should have learned before we left elementary school. The only reason I went to school was because it was the law and my parents were law abiding citizens. My motivation was recess period. Oh yea, I also lived for the milk and peanut butter cookie break at 10am every morning. Life was a breeze. I was active enough that the cookies were not a weight issue and I was athletic enough to make some pretty impressive moves like jumping from the swing at it’s highest point, or being able to not only make it across the monkey bars by skipping every other rung, but I could also impress the third grade girls by being able to walk across the top of the monkey bars too. In the third grade, I was so fast I could out run the girls who wanted me to be their boyfriend. I was convinced that Cooties was a real disease and it could only be passed to me from a girl who obviously had them. I was really fast in the third grade so my family never had to deal with…

Up Rising!

Written by
Isaiah 40:29 “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Today I was thinking on the things of God, meditating on His goodness, faithfulness and future that He has for all of us. I was challenged by a challenge that came from my reflections. The challenge came by this question, “What do you see”? “Not how things are but how things shall be!” Then the challenge was extended to me, “Write what you see! Write what you believe to be!” So in obedience to that challenge I felt in my heart, “I will write what I see”! I see a move of God that is coming upon a remnant of people who have not yet possessed all that has been promised to them. They have possessed promises by faith, but have not seen the reality of manifestation. Because this remnant has not become bitter over the delay of the answer, but have continued in faith, there is a new day dawning! I see an uprising, or a “Rising UP!” In this rising up there is a renewing of strength! It can be compared to the Eagle’s renewing and mounting up! Jewish tradition…

Drink Up

Written by
It’s a new year and we are all on one bandwagon or another. I’m usually the last to jump on and many times the parade is over before I jumped on the wagon. Debi and I are trying to live a more healthy life. You know what they say, “First the natural and then the spiritual”. Things usually happen in the natural realm before they do in the spiritual realm. It makes sense. Well here is our latest bandwagon. I just pray that I didn’t wait too long! We are discovering the vital importance to our bodies is the proper balance of hydration. Yup, I said it, “Hydration”! Making sure that your body gets enough water so that you can function properly. Most people hate to drink water. Hate is a bad word, let’s say they just don’t prefer water. You and I both know that we are about 75% water and that we each should drink a certain amount of water daily, daily, daily so that our basic body functions can operate smoothly, or correctly which ever you prefer. I’ve read that your brain is 80% water and that with just 2% dehydration it causes drastic side effects. Depression, hallucinations and loss of logical and critical thinking to just name a few. Many mental disorders are attributed to dehydration. Anybody in their right mind would start drinking water once they read that. Or maybe they wouldn’t because they wouldn’t be in their right mind yet. Well anyway, I have…

What Say Ye?

Written by
What Say Ye? It’s interesting how often God waits on our response to situations in life. He put the prophet in the middle of a valley of dry bones and then asked him if the dry bones could live. Can these bones live? Then God told the man to begin to speak, or prophecy to the dead situation that it would live. And as the prophet began speaking, God began to act upon what the prophet had declared. Another interesting thing is that Jesus told us that our obstacles would always be obstacles until we believe that they can be overcome, shifted or moved out of our way of progress. How was the way Jesus told us to move the obstacles? Jesus said if you would speak to the mountain to move and believe what you were saying, it would have to obey you. I know this was a metaphorical analogy about our situations shifting, but notice the part about our part to play in the shifting of a thing. Our part is to speak to it! There are so many illustrations woven through the Word of God that it’s amazing that we are so slow to believe it. The Lord told the children of Israel that the power of “life and of death” was in the words that they speak. He even said those who discover this secret shall eat the fruit of it or the abundance of the manifestation of it. God made the animals in Genesis and…
